Law enforcement arrested a man "acting suspiciously" in a Pentagon parking lot Monday after chasing him through nearby Arlington National Cemetery, The Washington Times reports.

"The suspect is currently being questioned by the Pentagon Force Protection Agency in coordination with the FBI," Department of Defense spokeswoman Sue Gough said in a statement. "As this is now an ongoing investigation, we have no other details to provide at this time."

"As the officer approached the individual, he fled on foot across Route 27 and into Arlington National Cemetery," she added, according to Military Times. "He was apprehended at approximately 1 p.m., thanks to a collaborative law enforcement effort by the Pentagon Police, Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Police, U.S. Park Police, and Arlington County Police."

Law enforcement proceeded to search the Pentagon's north parking lot and the surrounding vehicles before declaring the area safe. The suspect has not yet been identified, and is currently in the custody of the Arlington County Police. The Pentagon Force Protection Agency and the FBI are questioning him.
