President Barack Obama is living in "Fantasyland" thinking that his programs are mainstream American thought, House Speaker Paul Ryan said Monday on the
"Hugh Hewitt" radio show.
"I think he lives in his own sort of Fantasyland, and I think he sees the world as what he wishes it would be," Ryan said.
Obama's charge that the current Republican Party is outside the mainstream is a Saul Alinsky-inspired tactic to bait Republicans into responding and looking like angry reactionaries so they can't win elections.
"So the mantra is going to be we are the fringe, we’re out there, we’re angry, we’re unrelatable, so that we cannot build a national movement, a majority campaign, and win the Electoral College, win the presidency and keep Congress," Ryan said. "The goal of Barack Obama in 2016 will have to be undoubtedly bait Republicans into being angry reactionaries so that they can’t win, so that the left, his successor, can win by default and cement his legacy."
