Sunday, 11 September 2011 07:58 PM EDT

President Barack Obama will send his American Jobs Act to Congress Monday, but first will pressure Congress to pass it during a Rose Garden press conference on Monday, The Hill reports.

He is expected to have a number of guests at the Rose Garden event who would benefit from the legislation.

In the meantime, Obama has been traveling, pushing his campaign to rally the public behind his jobs effort which he says will boost the economy. He was in Virginia on Friday, in the home turf of Eric Cantor, and later this week will be in Ohio and North Carolina.
