Former U.K. Independence Party leader Nigel Farage is predicting a second referendum on the Brexit deal, while calling for Prime Minister Theresa May to resign.
He told Sky News: "I think and I fear we are headed on a path towards delay and probably, yes, a second vote."
And in an interview on television’s “Good Morning Britain,” he said he fears those in Great Britain will soon hear “voices in Westminster pushing hard or a second referendum.”
A video excerpt on the interview was posted on the show’s Twitter account.
The Evening Standard called Farage “one of the most prominent voices in the Leave campaign leading up to the 2016 referendum.” He maintained Britain should leave the European Union on March 29, the date set for Brexit.
And, according to the Evening Standard, he added: “There is still time. Brexit is not the problem, the prime minister is. She needs to go.”
His comments came after parliament voted 432-202 against May’s Brexit deal, touching off a political crisis in Britain.
