BOCA RATON, Florida – Newsmax TV announced today that it has reached an agreement with Comcast to carry its 24/7 cable news channel to Xfinity TV customers on the X1 platform. Newsmax TV said it will initially launch to subscribers of Xfinity's "Digital Starter" package that have an X1 device.
Newsmax TV, an independent news channel with a conservative perspective, has grown dramatically since its launch in 2014. Currently in 50 million U.S. cable/satellite homes, Newsmax expects to reach as many as 80 million such homes by the end of 2019.
“Comcast is the largest cable operator in the nation,” Michael Clemente, CEO of Newsmax Broadcasting said, “and we appreciate their decision to recognize Newsmax TV as a valuable independent programmer for their viewers.”
Newsmax TV consistently offers important viewpoints not covered elsewhere and continues to add talent to an impressive lineup that includes Joe Walsh, Brett Winterble, Howie Carr, Wayne Allyn Root, Todd Schnitt, Joe Pags, and Jesse Lee Peterson, as well as Newsmax anchors John Bachman and Miranda Khan.
Clemente said the network plans to ramp up programming in the coming months as it prepares for 2020 presidential election coverage that will begin in earnest next year.
Newsmax TV is already home to 12 original hours of news and content each day. The channel gives viewers the opportunity to engage in the shows via call-ins, Skype, social media video, and live chat feeds. The channel also provides practical health, finance, and lifestyle segments, as well as news documentaries during overnights and weekends.
Founded in 1998 and based in West Palm Beach and Boca Raton Florida, Newsmax Media is a privately held broadcasting and media company. In addition to being the parent company that operates Newsmax TV, its multi-platform media holdings reach over 25 million Americans through The Newsmax Feed Network, Newsmax.com, Moneynews.com, Newsmaxhealth.com, Newsmax Magazine, and more than a dozen health and financial subscriber newsletters.
