The man accused of detonating a bomb in the name of ISIS Monday in New York City reportedly taunted President Donald Trump via social media before the attack took place.

"Trump you failed to protect your nation," Akayed Ullah wrote on Facebook prior to the attack, NBC News reported.

Police said the 27-year-old immigrant from Bangladesh constructed a pipe bomb, attached it to himself, walked into an underground pedestrian tunnel near the Port Authority Bus Terminal, and detonated the bomb.

He and three others sustained injuries. Authorities called it a "low-tech" device, and it was not clear if the bomb went off prematurely or if it was designed to create more carnage.

Ullah was not on anyone's radar and he was slapped with terrorism charges after the blast.
