Calling out President Donald Trump for not being "presidential," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calf., called the president's quip wind turbines cause cancer "an idiotic statement," echoing the remarks made by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa.
"It just seems like every time you turn around there's another thing; the president's saying wind power causes cancer," Pelosi told reporters Thursday. "I associate myself with the remarks of Chairman Grassley, 'It's an idiotic statement.'"
Speaker Pelosi was making a call for transparency instead of obstruction from the White House on requests to review the audit of the president's tax returns and a release of an unredacted version of the special counsel Robert Mueller's report.
"Let's rise to a level of presidential in all of this," she added. "Show us the Mueller Report. Show us the tax returns. And we're not walking away just because you say no the first time around."
President Trump's claim wind turbines are cancer causing came during a National Republican Congressional Committee dinner Tuesday night.
"Hillary wanted to put up wind," he said. "Wind. If you have a windmill anywhere near your house, congratulations: your house just went down 75 percent in value. And they say the noise causes cancer. You tell me that one, OK? Rrrr rrrr — you know the thing makes — it's so noisy."
President Trump took Democrats to task Thursday for continuing their investigations into his election and presidency even after Mueller concluded there will be no more indictments of the president or his campaign.
According to polling, few people seem to care about the Russian Collusion Hoax, but some Democrats are fighting hard to keep the Witch Hunt alive. They should focus on legislation or, even better, an investigation of how the ridiculous Collusion Delusion got started – so illegal!
Adding in an ensuing tweet:
There is nothing we can ever give to the Democrats that will make them happy. This is the highest level of Presidential Harassment in the history of our Country!
