American documentary filmmaker and activist Michael Moore said he would join "a million other people" and protest at Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., against President Donald Trump's nominee for the Supreme Court, Mediaite reported Friday.
"Listen, the Senate right now is 50-49. Sadly, [Arizona Republican Sen. John] McCain will not be able to vote, so it's a 50-49 vote," Moore said on HBO's "Real Time With Bill Maher." "C'mon! We've got to push it off till after November."
"I'll join a million other people surrounding the United States Capitol," Moore EXPLAINED after saying opponents would "find ways" to prevent lawmakers from confirming a Supreme Court nominee.
Moore added that if Trump nominates another justice to the Supreme Court to replace retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy, then "It's over."
"Let me tell you something. If this judge goes through, for at least the rest of our lives, it's a right-wing court. That's it. It's over," Moore said.
Moore said he doesn't "trust every Democrat" to vote against a Trump nominee.
"We've got to hold the Democratic seats we have. But look, 90 percent of incumbents are always returned," Moore continued. "The Democrats in Montana and North Dakota, West Virginia, they've got to do their job. They'll do their job. Our job is to win Nevada, Arizona and Tennessee and they could all be won!"
