Former Trump campaign aide Michael Caputo has no plans to cooperate with Democrats conducting a thorough investigation of President Donald Trump's background.
According to The Washington Post, Caputo received a request from the House Judiciary Committee to hand over documents. He responded in writing to the panel, saying he did not have anything relevant to the inquiry and he would not appear to testify in front of it.
"We see no reason why the House Judiciary Committee cannot obtain the transcript of Mr. Caputo's testimony" in front of the House Intelligence Committee, Caputo's attorney wrote in the letter.
Judiciary Committee chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., launched a sweeping probe of Trump this week, which involved sending document requests to 81 people.
