Attorney Michael Avenatti revealed Tuesday he was "targeted" by the man accused of sending mail bombs to several high-profile Democrats last week.

Avenatti — who gained notoriety for serving as the lawyer for porn star Stormy Daniels, who said she had a brief affair with President Donald Trump years ago — posted this on Twitter Tuesday evening:

"I was informed this afternoon by the FBI that I was targeted by Cesar Sayoc. I applaud the hard working men and women of the FBI for his arrest and their continuing investigation. At some point, Trump will be held accountable for his role in the events of the last few weeks."

Sayoc was arrested Friday and police have since charged him with several crimes related to sending pipe bombs to former President Barack Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Attorney General Eric Holder, and others.

It is not known if Avenatti received a bomb, but it was reported Sayoc had a hit list of elected officials and others.
