President Donald Trump has attacked the media again for its coverage of his campaign rally in New Hampshire last weekend and for warning of a potential recession.
“The Fake and Corrupt Media is sooo bad for our Country,” the president tweeted Tuesday morning, in response to his own tweet touting the attendance at his recent rally in New Hampshire. “The Enemy of the People!”
Trump previously complained to reporters, and specifically New York Times White House correspondent Maggie Haberman, that they misrepresented the number of empty seats at the rally.
“You guys were in New Hampshire, Maggie was there,” Trump said on Sunday, according to Mediaite. “You saw that room was packed. And they had thousands — Maggie — they had thousands of people outside.”
He followed this with a tweet responding to Fox News contributor Geraldo Rivera, who said: “Sad watching CNN & MSNBC waxing hopeful US economy will soon collapse. Hatred of [Trump] led Democrats & their allies in the permanent government to waste 2 years of America’s time with #CollusionDelusion. Now same folks are rooting for USA’s economic collapse.”
Trump replied: “Ratings are way down, lost all credibility. Beautiful to watch!”
CNN and MSNBC both reported recently that the country could be heading towards an economic recession. Trump later retweeted his campaign manager, Brad Parscale, who claimed that “the liberal media is so deranged by [Trump] that they’re now cheering for the economy to tank,” in a tweet on Monday.
