New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie may have endorsed Donald Trump for the GOP nomination, but his wife Mary Pat, didn't appear to be crazy about what the front-runner had to say about Hillary Clinton playing the "woman card" in her election bid.
She appeared to look at her husband as they stood behind Trump, grimace, and roll her eyes, reports
The Huffington Post.
New Jersey's first lady gave Christie the look while Trump was declaring that Clinton's "only card she has is the woman card. She's got nothing else going on. And frankly, if Hillary Clinton were a man, I don't think she'd get 5 percent of the vote. The only thing she's got going is the women's vote. And the beautiful thing is that women don't like her."
The New York Times' Nick Confessore also remarked on Christie's reaction:
Trump has often accused Clinton of using the "woman card," and she responded Tuesday night in her own victory speech, saying that "Trump accused me of playing the, quote, woman card. Well, if fighting for women's health care and paid family leave and equal pay is playing the woman card, then deal me in."
