Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan has apparently had his verification on Twitter revoked after the blue check mark indicating approval was removed over the weekend, the Daily Mail reported on Sunday.

The move came after Farrakhan earlier this week tweeted a link to video of a sermon he gave on May 28 with the headline, "Thoroughly and completely unmasking the Satanic Jew and the Synagogue of Satan."

In the sermon Farrakhan attacked Jews and Judaism by warning his listeners about "Satanic Jews who have infected the whole world with poison and deceit," The Times of Israel reported.

He also said Jews are responsible for promoting child molestation, misogyny and police brutality, as well as sexual assault.

The tweet of the sermon apparently prompted Twitter to take action according to its guidelines, which states that it will unverify people for "promoting hate and/or violence against, or directly attacking or threatening other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or disease," the Daily Mail reported.

However, according to The Daily Caller, a spokesman for Twitter declined to officially verify the move, saying the company is "unable to comment on individual accounts, for privacy and security reasons."

Farrakhan, who has lead the Nation of Islam since 1981, has a long history of anti-Semitic remarks. According to Arutz Sheva, the U.S. Senate censured him in 1984 for anti-Semitic comments during a sermon in Chicago in which he called Judaism "a gutter religion" and compared himself favorably to Adolf Hitler.
