Larry King's widow, Shawn King, is planning on contesting the late broadcasting legend's will.

Last week a handwritten will emerged in which King requested that his estate be split among his five children: Larry King Jr., 59, Cannon, 20, Chance, 21,  Andy, and Chaia. Shawn was not included in the will, which was written on Oct. 17, 2019- two months after he filed for divorce from Shawn and several weeks before Andy and Chaia died within 23 days apart from each other.

Speaking with Page Six, Shawn revealed that she and King had "a very watertight family estate plan" which they wrote "as a couple" in 2015.

"It still exists, and it is the legitimate will. Period. And I fully believe it will hold up, and my attorneys are going to be filing a response, probably by the end of the day," she said.

King died Jan. 23 at age 87. He died before the divorce was finalized but reportedly grew close with Shawn after the filing. Shawn told Page Six they spoke daily but there was no mention of an amended will. She said that Cannon and Chance were also unaware of its existence.

"They are not happy about this," Shawn said, adding that she believed someone had influenced Larry to amend the will.

"Based on the timeline, it just doesn’t make sense," she said.

In the will obtained by People, King reportedly wrote: "This is my Last Will & Testament," the document stated. "It should replace all previous writings. In the event of my death, any day after the above date I want 100% [placed above illegible cross-out] of my funds to be divided equally among my children Andy, Chaia, Larry Jr., Chance & Cannon."

According to the will, Larry Jr. allegedly requested that he be appointed administrator of his father's estate, which is worth an estimated $2 million, as his father was involved in the ongoing divorce proceedings.

Page Six reported that, once the estate is divided among King's son and survivors of his late children, Shawn would only walk away with roughly $300,000.
