Rep. Larry Bucshon, R-Ind., said he is concerned what will happen to millions of people if Obamacare is overturned, The Hill is reporting.

Bucshon, a physician, made his comments during a Wednesday interview on Hill.TV.

"I have a lot of concerns ... about the people who currently have a health insurance based on the ACA [Affordable Care Act] and I think most Republicans do," Bucshon said.

"Whatever happens, we don't want millions of people to lose their health insurance.

"If the Supreme Court ultimately decides the ACA is unconstitutional, Congress will need to act very quickly to make sure that no one loses their health coverage because that's very important to me as a doctor."

A federal appeals court panel, consisting of three judges, appeared sympathetic on Tuesday to Republican efforts to overturn Obamacare. Two of the judges expressed skepticism to Democratic calls to throw out the ruling of a Texas judge who found the healthcare reform law unconstitutional.

The panel made no decision on Tuesday, but the eventual ruling could spark an appeal to the Supreme Court.

Over 20 million people could potentially lose their insurance if the ACA is eventually ruled unconstitutional, The Hill noted.

"I think the decision here will be something probably in favor of scrapping the entire ACA, just like the judge in Texas did," Bucshon said. "But I do think, ultimately, it's going to go to the Supreme Court."
