Biden Administration Asks Supreme Court to Keep Eviction Ban

The Biden administration urged the Supreme Court to keep in place the moratorium on evictions in parts of the country hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Landlords and real-estate trade associations from Alabama and Georgia asked the court last week to block the ban, set to run through Oct. 3.

The challengers say the moratorium exceeds the authority Congress has given the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
