Former Vice President Joe Biden will join NBC News’ "Today" show for a special morning event to launch his new tour and book on Monday, Nov. 13.

Biden will discuss his new book, "Promise Me Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship and Purpose," about his son Beau’s death, and will join Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie for a live interview at 7 a.m., for which the network will redecorate Rockefeller Plaza to celebrate his upcoming "American Promise Tour."

This will be followed by a question-and-answer section with the audience. Then Megyn Kelly will interview Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, before his final appearance on "Today" with Kathie Lee and Hoda Kotb.

"Today" previously released a clip from the audiobook version of Biden’s memoir, read by the former Vice President himself, in October.

"Beau would always grab my arm just before I walked on stage and pull me back toward him until I was looking into his eyes," he says in the clip. "Dad, look at me. Look at me, Dad. Remember, Dad. Home base, Dad. Home base.' What he was saying was, remember who you are. Remember what matters. Stay true to your ideals. Be courageous."

Biden also will appear on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Monday, his third time, along with Elton John, Deadline reports. During his last visit, Biden said that although he believed before the election that he was the most prepared candidate for president, he doesn’t regret not running.

"What I regret was the circumstance that led me not to be able to run," Biden said, referring to his son’s death.
