Actor Jeff Bridges is calling on people to donate to Montana Gov. Steve Bullock ahead of the fourth Democratic presidential debate.

The Democratic National Committee requires candidates to have 130,000 donors and attract 2% support in four qualifying national or early-state polls released between June 28 and Oct. 1 to qualify for the fourth debate, which is scheduled for Oct. 15 and possibly Oct. 16.

Bullock has not met the threshold for either.

"I don't care if you vote for somebody else," Bridges said in a video posted on Twitter on Monday.

"But it's so important to have Steve Bullock's voice up on that debate stage. You see here's the deal: For the first time in history, the Democratic National Committee is choosing who can be in the presidential debates based on the number of donors each candidate has."

Bridges has more than 260,000 followers on Twitter.

The fourth debate will be held in Westerville, Ohio, and will be co-hosted by The New York Times and CNN.

Eleven Democrats have qualified for the October debate, including former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro, Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., former Rep. Beto O'Rourke, D-Texas, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., California billionaire Tom Steyer, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and entrepreneur Andrew Yang.
