Allies of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush say his chances of running for president in 2016 are becoming a more likely possibility now than ever before.

According to Politico, Bush is laying the groundwork for a bid with private prep work on key international issues and visits to top Senate races across the country to campaign.

He has made numerous stops over the summer to raise money for the Republican National Committee, visiting among other places, Ohio, Iowa, Michigan, South Carolina, and Kentucky.

Insiders also note that he has shifted his fundraising activity, traveling not only to key states for the midterm elections, but headlining fundraisers in his home state where he has the chance to network with potential new supporters to build his own base of new contacts.

On Tuesday, for example, Bush will attend a reception for five Senate challengers hosted by Floridians for a Senate Majority which was formed for the event.

Organizers hope to raise at least $500,000 for the campaigns of Tom Cotton of Arkansas, Joni Ernst of Iowa, Cory Gardner of Colorado, Dan Sullivan of Alaska, and Monica Wehby of Oregon.

Some friends, however, insist his most recent campaign activity is consistent with the effort he has made during previous election cycles, Politico reported.
