Jared Kushner reportedly held secret talks to sell the New York Observer to liberal powerhouses David Brock, the founder of Media Matters, and Haim Saban, the chairman of Univision and a major Hillary Clinton donor — both of whom are at loggerheads with his father-in-law President Donald Trump.

BuzzFeed reports that Kushner launched sale discussions shortly after he helped Trump win the 2016 presidential race, but later fell apart over money.

BuzzFeed's Charlie Warzel was told that Brock wanted to turn the Observer into "the Breitbart of the left."

"A source familiar with the matter said Kushner did not initiate the talks and largely recused himself after an initial discussion, though he did not have any apparent reservations about selling to his father-in-law's sworn enemies," Warzel writes.

Kushner, according to one BuzzFeed source, wanted $20 million for the property — double what he paid for it in 2006.
