Actor James Woods used his Twitter account to help those impacted by California's wildfires reunite with loved ones and pets.

Woods first began using his Twitter to help Thursday.

He wrote: "We are using the hashtag #CampFireJamesWoods as a way for people to connect with each other in their search for missing loved ones in the #CampFire. By using that hashtag we can consolidate information about missing people."

He began reposting tweets of people searching for their loved ones and/or animals to his 1.85 million Twitter followers. Many of his tweets started with the word: "missing" followed by the name of the person or pet.

When one person noted to Woods a loved one had been found, he tweeted: "So happy!"

Woods regularly thanked his followers for all their help.

He wrote: "To all my wonderful followers, I want to thank you for your extraordinary efforts tonight connecting people with lost loved ones in the terrible #CampFire. Your thousands of retweets of invaluable information literally saved lives. God bless you all. #CampFire #CampFireJamesWoods."

And even Donald Trump Jr. expressed his thanks to Woods, saying in a tweet: "We need to be able to set aside even deep political differences more often to do the right thing and be human."

And Wednesday, Woods tweeted:

"#DavSeven of the #CaliforniaFires. @FEMA @RedCross etc. are now operating in full force. While we posted #info in the first week of chaos, these agencies are better equipped to offer the services California needs to heal. It has been an honor to serve my neighbors & friends."
