Ousted FBI Director James Comey will teach a course on ethical leadership at his alma mater, the College of William & Mary, The Washington Post is reporting.

Comey, who was fired by President Donald Trump last year, will teach the course this fall and in the spring and summer of 2019, according to the newspaper. The course will be offered through the school's Washington center and is open to students at the Williamsburg, Va., college.

"I am thrilled to have the chance to engage with William & Mary students about a vital topic — ethical leadership," Comey said.

"Ethical leaders lead by seeing above the short term, above the urgent or the partisan, and with a higher loyalty to lasting values, most importantly the truth. Building and maintaining that kind of leadership, in both the private sector and government, is the challenge of our time."

Comey earned his bachelor's degree from the college in 1982. He was given and honorary doctor of laws degree from the school in 2008.

Last September, protesters drowned out Comey's speech at Howard University, chanting, "We shall not be moved," "I love being black," and "No justice, no peace."

The shouting continued for several minutes before Comey was able to deliver his remarks.
