Leaders from the Jewish community met with FBI Director James Comey Friday about the rash of bomb threats that have been called into several Jewish community centers this year.
The Jewish Community Center Association confirmed the news in a brief statement.
"The conversation encompassed the current situation and potential strategies for future collaboration," the statement read. "All the organizations in attendance expressed the deep gratitude of the entire community for the extraordinary effort that the FBI is applying to the ongoing investigation.
"The representatives of the Jewish community left with the highest confidence that the FBI is taking every possible measure to resolve the matter as quickly as possible."
There have been more than 120 bomb threats called into Jewish community centers across the nation since January. Police arrested 31-year-old Juan Thompson on Friday in connection with at least eight threats, but it's not believed he is behind the others.
