The wife of former IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman, who ran the agency as it singled out conservative groups, was involved in the Occupy Wall Street movement and live-tweeted from a Washington, D.C., rally.

Susan Anderson, a senior program adviser for the Washington-based group Public Campaign, was at a Dec. 6, 2011, rally, and sent the message: "DC, good morning! Come down to the Mall and tell your 99% story!" and a photo of a white tent with a poster on the outside, saying, "Story of the 99%. Training Today 830," reports Fox News.

Urgent: Is Obama Telling the Truth on IRS, Benghazi Scandals?

It's not clear how involved Anderson was in the Occupy movement, but her tweets and her role in Public Campaign are yet another detail that is emerging as the investigation focuses on her ex-husband.

While Public Campaign calls itself a nonpartisan organization, it receives much of its money from liberal groups like the Ford Foundation, the Streisand Foundation, and Health Care for America NOW, which is a group of labor unions supporting Obamacare.

Public Campaign also appeared to defend the IRS when the scandal against it began emerging, with Chief Executive Nick Nyhart telling ABC News that a "few bad apples" within the agency will "make it harder for those questions to be asked without claims of bias."

Shulman, a nominee of President George W. Bush, told Congress during a tough round of questions that he did not know the IRS was singling out conservative groups for further scrutiny. He resigned from the post of commissioner in November last year.
