Former Vice President Joe Biden plans to mention Donald Trump at least 76 times in an Iowa speech on Tuesday, in which he is expected to call the president an “existential threat to America,” Axios is reporting.

The website reviewed Biden’s prepared remarks which were scheduled to be delivered in an address in Davenport, Iowa – the same day the president also is scheduled to be in the state.

"Trump doesn’t get the basics,” Biden said in the prepared remarks. “He thinks his tariffs are being paid by China... The cashiers at Target see what’s going on — they know more about economics than Trump.

"I believe Trump is an existential threat to America."

Biden is hoping to present a “sharp contrast” between himself and Trump on key issues, including tariffs, and restoring American “values,” according to CBS News.

In his prepared remarks, Biden charges that American farmers “have been crushed” by Trump’s “tariff war with China.”

"How many sleepless nights do you think Trump has had over what he's doing to America's farmers?" Biden is set to ask Iowans Tuesday. "Here's the answer: Just as many as he had when he stiffed the construction workers and electricians and plumbers who built his hotels and casinos. Zero."

Biden also plans to make an appeal about Trump’s “crude language” and “embarrassing behavior.”
