Even as she locked up enough delegates to capture the Democratic presidential nomination, Hillary Clinton is insisting there are no more surprises to come out of the FBI's investigation into her emails.

Clinton's comments came during an interview with ABC News anchor David Muir.

Asked by Muir if she could assure the American people that there isn't anything coming from this FBI investigation that's going to change the course of her campaign, Clinton answered: "Absolutely."

Muir then asked if she was confident of that and she replied: "Absolutely, yes."

He noted Trump has said she's guilty of "stupidity and bad judgment" and questioned how a person with this kind of judgment could become president.

"I'm not responding to any of the personal attacks that come from Donald Trump, because he can say whatever he wants about me, and I have more votes than he does as we sit here today. More Americans have voted for me," Clinton told Muir.

"Obviously they have believed that I would be the best choice for president and commander in chief and that's what this election will be about."

Meanwhile the Daily Mail newspaper in London reported that despite Clinton's assurances the email scandal, continues to influence the campaign

The newspaper noted one argument for Clinton's Democratic opponent not to quit the campaign is to be in "position to take up the mantle should Clinton get indicted for violating U.S. secrecy laws."
