Hillary Clinton took to Twitter to release a video message "directed to activist bitches supporting bitches," according to news reports Saturday.

"Hey everyone, I just wanted to say 'thanks,'" the 2016 Democratic presidential candidate said into a cellphone camera at what appeared to be a restaurant, The New York Post reports.

"Thanks for your feminism, for your activism — and all I can hope is you keep up the really important, good work," she said.

Then, at the urging of a companion who was off camera, Clinton added with a laugh: "And let me just say, this is directed to the activist bitches supporting bitches.

"So let’s go."

According to the Post: "Clinton is known as a careful speaker in public — but numerous insiders have described her as potty-mouthed behind closed doors."

HuffPost commentator Alex Mohajer posted the video, telling Mashable.com that Clinton was having lunch with someone who belongs to an advocacy group he formed.

The member, he said, asked Clinton to give a "shout-out" to "her group of feminist activists literally called 'Activist Bitches Supporting Bitches.'"

Mohajer told Mashable that the video was "a funny moment and a reminder of her trademark strength and humor."

Also on Friday, Clinton responded for the first time to a report in The New York Times that she insisted on keeping her faith outreach adviser during her 2008 presidential campaign, American Values Network co-founder Burns Strider, despite a female staffer accusing him of inappropriate touching and of sending sexually suggestive emails.

The Democrat's campaign manager at the time, Patti Solis Doyle, recommended that Strider be fired — and he was eventually transferred to another office, according to the report.

Clinton posted her response on Twitter:
