HarperCollins is moving forward with publication of a memoir by Roger Ailes, despite his resignation last month as CEO of the Fox News Channel.
Harper Collins and Fox are both owned by media mogul Rupert Murdoch.
According to The Wall Street Journal, which Murdoch also owns, the publishing company would like to press on with Ailes' memoir, but wants to see how forthcoming and open Ailes is in the book before making final plans to publish it.
"This book has so much potential," a HarperCollins employee told the Journal. "But you can't publish it in the middle of all this uncertainty. The legal process has to run its course, as does the election. You need time, space and perspective. Books by celebrity authors get delayed all the time."
Ailes resigned as CEO of Fox News after he was accused of sexual harassment by several women at the cable news network.
Earlier this week it was reported that Ailes is coaching Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump for the presidential debates, the first of which takes place September 26.
