Lindsey Graham: GOP Will Survive Shutdown

A government shutdown might hurt Republicans in the short-term, but they'll bounce back, says Sen. Lindsey Graham. He doesn't predict the same success for Democrats.

"We will survive the shutdown as a party. The Democratic Party will not survive the effect of Obamacare," the South Carolina Republican said Monday night on Fox News Channel's "Hannity."

"It will hurt us in the short-term as a party, but it's going to kill the Democratic Party because tomorrow Obamacare starts in earnest," Graham said.

"You're going to wake up tomorrow and you'll have to pay a lot more for healthcare than you did yesterday, and people are going to have buyer's remorse," he said. "We will win this over time."
