A German figure skater is on thin ice after she performed to the haunting score of the Holocaust drama "Schindler's List" at the Winter Olympics.

Social media exploded in anger early Friday following the routine by Nicole Schott in PyeongChang, South Korea.

The soundtrack to the 1993 Steven Spielberg movie — composed by John Williams and performed by violinist Itzhak Perlman — won an Oscar for Best Original Score.

Others have used the poignant music to skate to.

Russian figure skater Yulia Lipnitskaya, 15, helped her team win a gold medal at 2014's Sochi Winter Olympics with the same music, The Times of Israel reports.

German figure skater and two-time Olympic gold medalist Katarina Witt, who has also performed to it defended Schott on Twitter.

Others also defended Schott:

Schott's routine earned her an 18th place finish.

"Schindler's List" revolves around real-life businessman Oskar Schindler who saved the lives of more than a thousand Jews bound for death camps by employing them in his factories during World War II.

The R-rated drama, which stars Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Ben Kingsley, reaped seven Oscars.
