NYTimes: Bomb Squad Detonates Explosive Device Near Soros' Home

By    |   Monday, 22 October 2018 11:05 PM EDT

Bomb squad technicians "proactively detonated" an explosive device found near billionaire George Soros' home in Westchester County, The New York Times reports.

It isn't clear whether Soros, an activist and philanthropist who has donated millions to Democrats and $18 billion last year to his pro-democracy foundation Open Society Foundations, was home at the time.

The Bedford Police Department and the Westchester County Department of Public Safety told the Times Monday night they were investigating the site where the device was found - near Soros' home in the town of Bedford.
