President Donald Trump's re-election campaign has cancelled three upcoming fundraisers in Texas after that state was pounded by Hurricane Harvey in recent days.
Politico reported the cancellations Tuesday, citing three Republicans familiar with the decision.
Trump had been set to attend a Dallas fundraising dinner in late September, followed by two events in October by Vice President Mike Pence, according to Politico. Pence was set to attend a dinner in San Antonio and a lunch in Houston.
Houston was one of the cities that suffered heavy flooding after the storm stalled, dumping more than two feet of rain on the area. Recovery is expected to take years.
Trump still plans to attend fundraisers in Greensboro, North Carolina, and Las Vegas, in October, followed by two events in New York City, Politico reported. Pence is set to attend event in Milwaukee and Washington, D.C.
They will benefit Trump Victory, which is run by the Trump re-election effort and the Republican National Committee.
