Former Vice President Joe Biden reportedly said he knew a month before the 2016 presidential election that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would lose the race, The New York Post reported Saturday.
Biden on Friday told a closed door gathering at the E2 Summit, he knew Clinton would lose key battleground states from having campaigned himself in those states, Politico reported Saturday.
The E2 summit is an annual donor conference hosted by former Massachusetts Republican Governor and two-time presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
There's speculation Biden may be planning his own run for president in 2020, and last month formed a political action committee. During the summit, Biden also encouraged Romney to run for the Senate, should longtime Utah Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch decide not to run for reelection. Romney left Massachusetts in 2015 and moved to Utah.
