The House Intelligence Committee said Tuesday it had "a productive meeting" with special counsel Robert Mueller to "deconflict" their respective investigations into Russian meddling in last year's election.
"We had a productive meeting with Special Counsel Mueller this afternoon to deconflict our concurrent investigations, and look forward to continuing our dialogue with him as both investigations progress," the panel's leaders, GOP Rep. Mike Conaway of Texas and Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff of California, said in a statement.
The House panel is among several federal entities probing Moscow's activities last year.
Other investigations are being conducted by two Senate panels, the Intelligence Committee and the Judiciary Committee.
Mueller reportedly will meet with Judiciary members this week on safeguarding efforts.
