Talk Radio Network’s veteran radio talk show host Barry Farber will be honored with the Talkers Magazine Lifetime Achievement Award on June 7.

Farber will be presented the award by Michael Harrison, Talkers Magazine publisher, during the publication's New Media Seminar on June 7 at the Concierge Conference Center, in New York City.

The longtime host was named by the magazine as one of the most important talk show hosts of all time in 2002 and 2010, having hosted radio talk shows since 1960 when his first program aired on WINS in New York, called "Barry Farber's WINS Open Mike." Farber would go on to host shows on a variety of stations such as WOR-AM, WMCA-AM, both in New York and many others before joining the ABC Radio Network and Talk Radio Network.
Farber is also an accomplished author with a number of published works such as "Making People Talk: You Can Turn Every Conversation into a Magic Moment," "How to Not Make the Same Mistake Once," and the upcoming "Cocktails with Molotov: An Odyssey of Unlikely Detours," set for release this summer from WND Books.
