Journalist Greenwald: I'll Report More NSA Leaks From Snowden Archive

By    |   Thursday, 10 July 2014 11:08 AM EDT

Glenn Greenwald, one of the journalists who broke the story of the National Security Agency's top-secret phone and Internet surveillance program, said he has more spying secrets to reveal.

Greenwald and fellow journalist Murtaza Hussain, who reported Wednesday that the NSA and FBI had been spying on prominent Muslim-Americans, said they will report new revelations that demonstrate more abuses by the agency.

"I get in trouble every time I talk about our reporting before it's ready, but suffice to say: Muslims, while the prime target of post-9/11 abuses, are not the only ones targeted by them, and there is definitely more big reporting to come from the [Edward] Snowden archive," the pair said in response to a question during an "Ask Me Anything" session on the Web site reddit.com.

Last year, NSA whistleblower Snowden supplied the former U.K.'s Guardian journalist with an extensive collection of classified government documents.

Greenwald has since set up a new website, The Intercept, specifically dedicated to reporting on NSA abuses.
