President Donald Trump said Friday he is "100 percent" willing to go under oath and give his version of what took place between himself and former FBI director James Comey.
Trump and Romanian President Klaus Iohannis held a joint news conference in the White House Rose Garden. Trump was asked about Comey's Thursday testimony in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee, during which he accused Trump of seemingly pressuring him to drop the FBI's Russia investigation.
"I didn't say that," Trump said. "I didn't say that. I will tell you, I didn't say that.
"And there'd be nothing wrong if I did say it, according to everybody that I've read today. But I did not say that."
The president was then asked if he would be willing to go under oath and speak about the matter.
"One hundred percent," Trump said. "I would be glad to tell [special counsel Robert Mueller] exactly what I just told you."
During his testimony, Comey said Trump asked him for a loyalty pledge and made Comey uncomfortable to the point that he felt it was necessary to document all of their interactions in writing afterward.
