President Donald Trump's approval rating is at 38 percent in a new Quinnipiac University survey, up three points from a week ago, but still below his high of 42 percent in February.

Key results from the poll, taken from Nov. 15 to Nov. 20:

  • 55 percent disapprove of the job Trump is doing, compared to 38 percent who approve.
  • 54 percent said Trump is not fit to serve as president, with 43 percent saying the opposite.
  • 59 percent said Trump does not respect women as much as men.
  • 66 percent of Republicans said Trump respects women as much as men.

In the latest Gallup survey, Trump's approval rating sank to 36.9 percent in the third quarter of 2017. The figure was at 41.3 in the first quarter and 38.8 in the second quarter.

Trump said earlier this month his approval rating might actually be closer to 50 percent.
