President Donald Trump on Thursday accused Democrats of harassment for demanding to see special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian election interference in the 2016 election.

“According to polling, few people seem to care about the Russian Collusion Hoax, but some Democrats are fighting hard to keep the Witch Hunt alive,” Trump tweeted Thursday morning. “They should focus on legislation or, even better, an investigation of how the ridiculous Collusion Delusion got started - so illegal!”

He added later: “There is nothing we can ever give to the Democrats that will make them happy. This is the highest level of Presidential Harassment in the history of our Country!”
The House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday voted along party lines to subpoena the full report. Attorney General William Barr has said he would release a redacted version of the report sometime in April.

“The Constitution charges Congress with holding the president accountable for alleged official misconduct,” the panel’s chairman, Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., said at the beginning of the meeting, before the vote. “That job requires us to evaluate the evidence for ourselves — not the attorney general’s summary, not a substantially redacted synopsis, but the full report and the underlying evidence.”
