Former Democratic National Committee head Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz didn't tell the organization's own officers about a breach on its servers for more than a month after learning about it, according to Donna Brazile.

In her new book, excerpted by Politico, Brazile — who became the interim DNC chairman — wrote Wasserman Schultz alerted the officers of the breach only when The Washington Post was about to make the revelations public, the Daily Caller reported.

"She told [officers] about the hacking only minutes before the Washington Post broke the news," Brazile wrote in her book "Hacks," the Daily Caller reported.

Brazile also reveals the DNC subsequently enlisted the law firm of Perkins Coie to make major decisions, including how to handle the breach of its servers that led to an embarrassing email dump.

In June 2016, the Washington Post  reported "DNC leaders were tipped to the hack in late April" of that year — months before Wasserman Schultz told anyone else within the party what had happened.

The DNC then enlisted Perkins Coie — the same firm that used DNC money to fund the notorious Trump dossier, the Post reported.

CNN reported a week ago that Wasserman Schultz denied knowing where Fusion GPS got its funding to conduct the research.
