David Bossie, who served as the deputy campaign manager for Donald Trump, says former Vice President Joe Biden must answer for the "lies" of the Obama administration.
Bossie made his comments in a column posted on the Fox News website Wednesday.
"Once you get past the warm and fuzzy nostalgia for Biden – the elder career politician chosen by the youthful Barack Obama as his running mate – reality slaps you right in the face," he said.
Bossie cited Biden's strong support for the Affordable Care Act.
"Biden, one of the prime supporters of the disaster that was disingenuously marketed as the Affordable Care Act, must answer for the lies told by the Obama team to sell the plan to the American people," he said.
And Bossie maintained the Obama administration's policy with Russia "was an 'abject failure.'" He said "Obama and Biden chose to ignore Russia interference in our election instead of doing something to stop it.
"Biden must also be investigated fully over his alleged actions in Ukraine on behalf of his son Hunter and the investigation into Burisma Holdings, a company with a board of directors that included the younger Biden as a member.
"Let's face the fact that an enormous percentage of center-right voters in our country think the Obama-Biden administration was a total failure. Additionally, a large bloc on the left has absolutely no appetite for a Biden candidacy because they view him as a low-energy has-been and would prefer someone new."
