Donald Trump's former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski will appear before the House Intelligence Committee this week as part of its ongoing probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election, he told host Rita Cosby on WABC Radio on Sunday.

"I have nothing to hide," he said. "I didn't collude or cooperate or coordinate with any Russian, Russian agency, Russian government or anybody else, to try and impact this election."

He said, "The House Intelligence Committee sent me a letter asking me to voluntarily come in and have a conversation about what I know. And what I've responded to them is, 'I'll be happy to come in and sit down.'"

Lewandowski, who expected his appearance before the committee to take place either this Wednesday or Thursday, said he has not been contacted by special counsel Robert Mueller about an interview for his investigation.

Lewandowski was reportedly told several times by Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos that the Russians wanted to form a relationship with the campaign, according to The Washington Post.

In October, Papadopoulos pleaded guilty to lying to federal agents about his connections with Russian nationals.

Paul Manafort, who forced Lewandowski out and became campaign chairman in June 2016, has also been indicted by Mueller on 12 counts, although none of the charges relate to his work for Trump's campaign, according to The Hill.

Although Lewandowski said he wants anyone who did collude with Russians "to spend the rest of their lives in jail," he told WABC that "it's time to bring this investigation to a close."

Asked what he would tell Trump if the president were asked to testify, Lewandowski said, "There's no question to me, that if he were to sit down and tell that team exactly what took place, and I was there for it, they will come to the same conclusion that everybody else has already come to, which is there is no collusion."
