President Donald Trump and everyone around him have been "nothing but 100 percent compliant" with special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation for more than a year, presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway said Friday, a day after the president's attorney called the prosecutor's questions "possible traps."
"The people who promised they were going to frog-march Donald Trump out of the White House because of Russia collusion two years ago are now bellyaching about something else, all the while he's complying," Conway told Fox News' "Fox and Friends."
Meanwhile, "millions and millions of dollars later, months and months later, 1.4 million pieces of paper, 33-plus people having met with or complied with requests from the Mueller team, including the president of the United States," nothing has surfaced to damage Trump.
On Thursday, Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani said some of the questions Mueller sent to Trump create legal issues, and called them both "unnecessary" and "possible traps."
Conway on Friday said she does not know what questions Giuliani was talking about.
"We are walled off from that here at the White House, and rightfully so, but the president has said there's no Russia collusion, and he's also said that he's complying," said Conway.
She also pointed to a poll showing that 41 percent of Americans say Mueller's investigation is justified, but 54 percent say it's politically motivated.
