Conservatives Saturday slammed the cast of the Broadway musical "Hamilton" after one of its actors ripped Vice President-elect Mike Pence from the stage when their performance ended on Friday.

"I'm disappointed," former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee told Uma Pemmaraju on Fox News. "I'm not angry. I'm just disappointed.

"Individual artists have every right to express themselves and say whatever they wish," he said, adding that the arts was "one of the few places in America where people really do come together over music and the theater and film.

In addition, Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator of the Tony-winning play about the Founding Fathers, congratulated Dixon for "leading with love."
