Report: Ferguson Shooting Took 90 Seconds

By    |   Saturday, 15 November 2014 12:11 PM

The fatal shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, by  Police Officer Darren Wilson occurred less than two minutes after the officer stopped the unarmed teen in response to a report of a "stealing in progress" at a convenience store, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The newspaper developed a detailed timeline of the confrontation between Brown, a black 18-year-old, and Wilson, a white police officer, on Aug. 9, through an analysis of police and EMS records, and interviews.

Ferguson and surrounding communities are bracing for an announcement of a grand jury's decision on whether to indict the police officer, which could come at any moment.

The area was rocked by protests, some violent, for weeks after the shooting.

The report also features police-station security videos showing Wilson after the incident.
