Scott Brown in Talks to Join Fox News

By    |   Thursday, 07 February 2013 09:20 AM EST

Former Sen. Scott Brown is in talks to join Fox News as a contributor, but he still says his political days aren't yet over.

A spokeswoman for the network confirmed to The Boston Herald that talks were ongoing.

The former senator would join Fox at a time of upheaval. It parted ways with former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and former Bill Clinton strategist Dick Morris in recent weeks, while taking on former Democratic congressman Dennis Kucinich.

Brown decided last week against a run for the GOP nomination for the Senate seat made vacant by John Kerry’s elevation to secretary of state. He cited the difficulty of running in successive campaigns. He ran in three elections to the Massachusetts Senate and two for the U.S. Senate in less than nine years, winning all except the last when he lost to Democrat Elizabeth Warren in November.

“People forget I did a state Senate run, then the special, then the general, then it was a special, and then I would have won that, then a general again," Brown told Politico. “It's too much.”

Brown, however, refuses to comment further on his plans for any future campaigns, including a race for Massachusetts governor in 2014.

"I’m not going to comment on any future races at all. I’m just focused on doing some things that I’m very excited about."

The Boston Herald also reported that Brown has been appointed to the board of Kadant, a Massachusetts paper recycling and production equipment company.
