All 10 Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee have demanded that President Donald Trump either withdraw Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh from consideration or order the FBI to investigate the multiple sexual misconduct allegations that have been thrown at the Circuit Court judge.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., the ranking Democrat on the committee, posted the letter on her Twitter feed Wednesday afternoon, saying it's time for action.
The 10 Democrats on the panel all signed the letter.
"We are writing to request that you immediately withdraw the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to be an associate justice on the Supreme Court or direct the FBI to re-open its background investigation and thoroughly examine the multiple allegations of sexual assault," the letter reads.
Earlier Wednesday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called on Kavanaugh to step aside and allow Trump to nominate someone else for the nation's highest court.
Three women have now come forward with accusations of sexual misconduct against Kavanaugh. The 53-year-old circuit court judge will return to Capitol Hill Thursday to face questions from the Senate Judiciary Committee about the allegations, all of which he denies.
