(Updates with Romney on vice presidential choice in fourth paragraph. For more on the campaign, go to ELECT.)
July 18 (Bloomberg) -- Republican presidential candidate said President Barack Obama hasn’t made job creation a priority and his policies are hurting businesses.
In the last six months, Obama has focused on fundraising and held no meetings with his jobs council, Romney told a campaign rally in Bowling Green, Ohio.
“His priority is keeping his own job, and that’s why he’s going to lose it,” Romney said. “He’s out of touch, he’s out of ideas, and that’s why by November we’ve got to get him out of office.”
Romney also said he hasn’t chosen his running mate yet. His campaign yesterday named two experienced operatives to manage the vice presidential rollout, which top aide Eric Fehrnstrom said two days ago could come as soon as this week.
