African-American voters prefer former Vice President Joe Biden, with 36% of them saying in poll results released Friday that he should be the 2020 Democratic nominee.

A Hill-HarrisX poll found that Biden held a 24-point lead among registered voters over the next choice, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., who had 12%.

No other candidate finished in double digits among the 1,270 voters surveyed Sept. 18-23.

However, 12% of the respondents said they were not sure who should be the candidate to take on President Donald Trump next year, while 4% preferred none of the above.

Here are the poll's top five finishers:

  • Joe Biden: 36%.
  • Bernie Sanders: 12%.
  • California Sen. Kamala Harris: 8%.
  • Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren: 8%.
  • New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker: 5%.

The Hill-HarrisX survey has a margin of error 2.8%.
