Kate Quigley, sister of Benghazi victim Glen Doherty, says former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did not tell the truth when she said she never told family members
an anti-Muslim video was to blame for the fatal attacks.
"Looking back, I know that I was in shock that day, but I will never ever forget what she said to me, which was how sorry I should feel for the Libyan people," Quigley told
Boston Herald Radio's "Morning Meeting" on Wednesday. "I remember it as clear as day, as I do every moment from those few days, which were really the worst in my life."
Clinton was a guest Sunday on ABC's
"This Week," where she was asked by host George Stephanopoulos, "Did you tell them it was about the film?"
"No," Clinton replied. "You know, look I understand the continuing grief at the loss that parents experienced with the loss of these four brave Americans. And I did testify, as you know, for 11 hours. And I answered all of these questions."
"It doesn't surprise me that she would say that," Quigley told Boston Herald Radio. "This is a woman who will do and say anything to get what she wants. I have very little respect for her. I know what she said to me, and she can say all day long that she didn't say it, but that's her cross to bear."
Clinton "knows that she knew what happened that day, and she wasn’t truthful," Quigley sad.
Quigley's brother died along with Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods and Ambassador Chris Stevens in the September 11, 2012 attacks on the diplomatic compound and CIA annex in Benghazi, Libya.
"Nobody's perfect. People make mistakes," Quigley said. "Just own up to it. Make sure it doesn't happen again."
